Rainbow Six

Goblingee's Rainbow Six Revival.

Stage 2 Team selection and outfitting

After the initial briefing it is time to select your team, although the game does have preset plans for those that can’t or don’t want to make their own plans. So on to the selection, we have 4 classes to choose from:
Assault, containing 8 operatives plus the reserve.
Demolitions, containing 1 operative plus the reserve.
Electronics, containing 0 operatives plus the reserve.
Recon, containing 2 operatives plus the reserve.

So we have an initial total of 11 characters to choose from, each with their own set of skills/statistics. don’t be too disheartened by the low numbers of operatives as more will be added throughout the game, and this can be helped along by the use of reserves, you can in-fact unlock a few really good, well balanced operatives as you work your way through the missions.

Once you have familiarized yourself with your characters and their skills, it is time to select your kit. You can either chose to have them all kitted out the same (sensible for some missions) or chose to give them different equipment which you can then access and use in mission by selecting the relevant team.

The kit is split into several groups:

Uniform: this is the outfit that the operative will wear, There are 6 uniforms to choose from, Urban light, Urban Medium, Urban breach, Street light, Street medium, Street heavy, none of these are customizable for the campaign unless you get into moding.

Primary: there is a choice of the following primary weapons.

SMG: HK MP5-A2, HK MP5SD5 (the only silenced primary weapon), HK MP5K-PDW.

Assault rifles: CAR 15 (essentially the M4), M-16A2.

Shotgun: Benelli M1 Tactical 12-Guage.

Secondary: the following pistols are available, each is also available with a silencer.
HK .45 MK3, 9mm 92FS, HK .40 USP,

We then have 2 equipment slots each can be used with the following kit.
Fragmentation Grenade, Blows baddies up.

Flashbang, temporarily stuns the enemy with a flash and a bang, be aware that this will also effect you if you are in the room when it goes off.

door charge, blows the door off.

primary mags, extra ammo

secondary mags, extra ammo

heartbeat sensor, detects nearby enemies when selected.

demolitions kit, reduces time to place/deactivate bombs when selected.

electronics kit, reduces time to hack systems or place bugs when selected.

lockpick kit, reduces time to open locked doors.

The next step is to assign your operatives to a team.
It is possible to have 8 operatives split between up to 4 teams with a maximum of 4 in any 1 team. Teams are Blue, Red, Green and Gold although you could use 1 op and 1 team if you would rather go lone wolf.
