My gaming life took a turn in 1998 with the release of Rainbow Six on the PC and from that point on I was a massive fan of the series. Some of you may know this already but I am on a 1 man mission to revive the good old Rainbow Six games (see the above video, like and subscribe) and try to build support for a remake complete with the tactical planning phase and team selection, I would love to see a return to the strategy game rather than the bog standard run and gun that the series has turned into since being taken over by UBI.

 

In addition to this I am a firm believer that all games should be made and alpha/beta tested on PC and then ported to consoles rather than the other way around which seems to be the trend today, the issue with going console to PC? well, just take a look at Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

I hear a great deal of none sense regarding PC gamers and piracy, well I have traveled and on markets around the world from London to Beijing I have seen more pirate Console games being sold that I have PC games, I guess the difference is that people are much more easily able to dl pc games from various unscrupulous torrent sites but those that do by no means out weigh the legitimate gamer. Those that use this as an excuse for the poor quality of their releases have either never stepped out of their front door and been to the local market to see for themselves or otherwise got confused, for instance, It was suggested that 95% of all PC gamers are pirates, however this is a mistake, there was some confusion due to a break down in translation. What actually happened was that UBI went to the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean and asked "do you play console or PC games"? and 95% of them said PC, so in fact what Mr Yves Guillemont should have said is that 95% of pirates are PC gamers. Simple misunderstanding.
